Employee Spotlight: Clara Penner
One of our staff who helps
create the warm, inviting
atmosphere in the store on
Tuesdays, Wednesdays,
Thursdays, and sometimes
Fridays is Clara Penner.
While she may not share
her smile with you at the
counter, she comes in long
before the rest of us to begin
making bread which smells
oh-so-good when you enter
the store.
Clara came to Prairie Harvest
In September of 2006
bringing over 50 years' baking experience. She says she likes to
work at Prairie Harvest because it's a friendly place. Her favorite
product in the store is Elderberry Juice Concentrate which she credits
for keeping her strong and healthy. "I haven't caught the flu or a
cold since I started taking it and that's pretty good for someone born
in 1925," said Clara.

When not at Prairie Harvest, you might find Clara in her garden or
yard. The dandelions don't stand a chance if she works as hard in her
yard as she does on our bread.
We will be taking special orders for zweiback for family gatherings
such as Easter dinner.

instruments in a variety of musical styles combining
elements of folk, country, Irish, bluegrass and rhythm and

their music.
